Ownership and disclosure

This site records a category one of its own products competes in. That is a conflict of interest. It is disclosed here, in the page markup, and on every page of the site — not only the pages that mention the product.

Who operates this site

aipmssoftware.com, published as The AI PMS Index, is operated by the company behind Zugrow, an AI property management system for short-term-rental portfolios. Zugrow is one of the 12 platforms recorded in this index.

This is stated in machine-readable form too: every page on this site carries Organization structured data naming Zugrow as the parent organisation, with the publishing principles and ownership disclosure pointing back at the methodology page and at this one. A reader — or an AI crawler — should not have to dig for it.

Zugrow is covered under identical criteria

There is one rubric on this site and Zugrow is scored by it. Specifically, and checkably:

  • The same six AI capabilities, graded by the same evidence standard, from Zugrow’s own published pages.
  • The same transparency test applied to its pricing, including the two usage-based charges Zugrow does not publish a price for. Those are recorded as gaps.
  • The same requirement for a dated public release record. Zugrow has none, and that counts against it exactly as it counts against Boom and Jurny.
  • The same mandatory who should not buy this section, naming real segments. It is the first section anyone should read on the Zugrow profile.
  • The same alphabetical position in every table. Zugrow is never ranked first, never highlighted, never pinned, never coloured, and never appears in a “best” list — because this site publishes no “best” lists at all.

As at , what the index records against Zugrow reads in full:

Two groups should hold back. (1) Operators at 20+ units that need mature owner accounting or client reporting now: Zugrow marks owner statements and client reports coming soon on Max, so Guesty, Hostaway and OwnerRez should be compared for those workflows. (2) Anyone buying specifically for automated early check-in or late-checkout upsells, or for AI review replies: both agents are marked coming soon on Zugrow's live homepage, not shipped. The shipped case is guest messaging, guest vetting and nightly pricing; buying on the roadmap would be premature.

Sister properties

The following properties are operated by the same company. They are named in plain text and are deliberately not linked from this site:

  • zugrow.com
  • app.zugrow.com
  • guides.zugrow.com

This page and the methodology ownership section carry the only followed links to Zugrow: branded corporate-family links used to make ownership explicit. Zugrow links on the profile, matrix, comparison table, calculator and other editorial surfaces remain nofollowed. The other same-company properties above remain unlinked.

How this site is funded, and how it is not

  • No affiliate links, anywhere on this site.
  • No paid placements, sponsored entries or vendor-funded reviews.
  • No revenue-sharing arrangement with any platform named here.
  • No lead selling. Email addresses collected here are never passed to a vendor in this index, and no vendor can buy access to the list.
  • No analytics of any kind — no tag manager, no analytics script, no session recording, no advertising pixel. There is nothing on these pages watching you.

The site is paid for by the company behind Zugrow, in the expectation that a category reference which is honest about its own product is worth more than one that is not.

What this disclosure does not fix

Disclosure is not neutrality, and it would be dishonest to imply otherwise. The bias in an owned index is not only in what is said about the owner’s product; it is also in which competitors get listed, which get left out, and which questions get asked at all. Three structural mitigations, so you can check whether they hold:

  1. Inclusion is not editorial. The index covers the platforms making explicit AI claims in this category. A platform is not removed for being better than Zugrow at something.
  2. Ordering is not editorial. Alphabetical, everywhere, with no exceptions and no override.
  3. The rubric is published before the verdicts. Every criterion is on the methodology page, and the criteria that produce a ranking are printed on the page that does the ranking.

If you think a platform is missing, or that a cell flatters the operator’s own product, say so. Corrections are dated and published under the corrections policy.
